In the Line of Fire. Miracles amidst Ruins.
A humbling and inspiring experience to see and exhibit alongside the brave and incredible artists from Gaza who still create and resist through the genocide documenting their experience. Thanks to Dimitris Sarafianos and Faye Tzanetoulakou for making this possible and for opening your hearts and spaces in solidarity with Palestinians.
Tiles of Mass Construction
Palestinians have long made handmade tiles for homes and public spaces, symbols of endurance, protection, and beauty.
Today, amid the urbicide of Gaza, the Strip is buried under more than 50 million tons of rubble. Killer AIs, drones, chemicals, and new weapons are tested on civilians—half of them children. Shattered tiles and collapsed roofs bury thousands of unrecovered bodies, along with the stories and dreams they held.
These ceramic tiles reflect the machinery of war and control, yet also fragments of resilience and beauty. They remind us that even through devastation, memory and life persist.

In the media
Mary Ann's tiles are the memory of love and the oath of memory in the tradition of resistance. That is, of those who are our real strength. They bear our usual petty-bourgeois flowers, but together they bear the drones, the weapons, the instruments of the Israeli cult of Death, so that Mary Ann and Palestine may once again make them alive, memorable, a seed that will blossom resistance.
